The Phoenix Bagua Project-Day 4
Today was amazing. I already feel a shift of energy within myself and my home. I woke up this morning to my son asking me if we could do push ups together. I grateful accepted his invitation and explained how I planned to do my qigong set next. He watched me intently. I made breakfast and lunch for the kids and they missed the bus. My daughter was distraught on causing the miss and when I usually would have been upset and griping, I told her that "everything happens for a reason" and she hugged me. My office was hectic and chaotic due to our move. I stayed positive and calm and was able to complete all tasks diligently. Today was warm for the first time in months. I took the opportunity to do my first trail run of the season. I love this trail because the scenery changes. It starts winding through the forest and opens up to a few golden fields. Right at the first mile marker, there are wetlands with frogs croaking in a wonderful progression of sound. The path continues through more forest and a few more fields until you enter a bamboo forest after the second mile marker. After the children were home, I watched them climb trees while dinner was cooking. My daughter asked if the two of us could take a walk and for the second time today, I graciously accepted an invitation of good health and habits. Once home, we listened to my six year old son read us a story and all had herbal tea. Now with everyone asleep, I am reflecting and appreciating my blessings and will end the evening with a short meditation, just in time to watch the Olympics Women's Halfpipe Snowboarding.
